Job Description

As an Engineering for SUN Automation, you will be exposed to all aspects of engineering in relation to machinery manufacturing in the corrugated paper industry. SUN Automation is a global industry leader providing box plants with innovative corrugated solutions for feeding, printing, and converting. Our wide range of products are proven solutions for increasing production, efficiency, and profitability. Interns will be expected to contribute to these improvements while gaining a good knowledge base about the inner workings of the company.

This will be a Summer starting in May and ending in August.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop a basic/working knowledge of SUN products.

Learn/operate Solidworks 2D and 3D CAD as used by SUN Automation.

Learn drawing revision process and document control processes.

Assist drafters in creating working drawings or parts and complex assemblies.

Assist in creation of bills of materials and maintaining data bases.

Assist engineers and designers in many aspects of product design.

QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a 4-year Engineering Degree Program.

Basic understanding of engineering principles and standards.

Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Eagerness to learn and will ask questions if confused or curious.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Basic 3D CAD program experience .

Excellent communication skills.

Teamwork mentality.
