Employee must be a naturally persuasive, creative problem solver who thrives in an upbeat environment with non-standard and varied working hours. A self-motivated, enthusiastic, goal-oriented individual with superior presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills and will have demonstrated ability to follow direction, problem solve, manage multiple priorities and meet goals. Daily responsibilities include communication with a large number of prospective students through heavy phone outreach. Personal e-mails, texts, notes, individual appointments, and group presentations/advising sessions are also expected.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide personalized guidance to prospective students and their families regarding the admissions process, program offerings, financial aid, and campus life.

Assist students in completing applications, obtaining necessary documentation, and meeting important deadlines.

Conduct individual meetings, calls, and group information sessions to address questions and concerns related to enrollment

Review applications for admission, ensuring all required materials are submitted and criteria are met

Manage a designated recruitment territory - Which would include but not be limited to extensive recruitment travel, developing and maintaining productive working relationships with key educational stakeholders, and providing admissions counseling for prospective students and their families

Participate in on-campus and virtual events, such as open houses, orientation programs, and admitted student days. This includes evening and weekend work.

Coordinate with the Pre-Enrollment Advisor to maximize transferable credit for incoming students.

Maintain accurate records of student interactions, application statuses, and recruitment activities using the admissions CRM (Salesforce).

Generate reports and provide insights to the Director of Admissions on trends, challenges, and opportunities related to assigned recruitment territory.

Become knowledgeable about all aspects of Flagler College including academic programs, campus events and activities, orientation, athletics, housing, financial aid, billing, college policy, and important dates.

Cultivate relationships with alumni, guidance counselors and other constituents in the territory to assist with the recruitment process Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited college/university with a bachelor's degree

One year of admissions experience as either:

An admission professional at a not-for-profit college OR

A student ambassador with in-program leadership experience

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent time management skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Willingness to troubleshoot and problem-solve WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time and occasionally walking and standing.

Climbing, walking, crouching, repetitive motions, and ability to communicate appropriately with students/colleagues.
