Cy's Linen is a fast-growing holding company in the commercial laundry and linen rental industry, currently operating four successful businesses across South Florida. With a strong presence in the hospitality and food & beverage end markets, our mission is to deliver exceptional quality, reliability and satisfaction to our clients. We are now seeking an experienced, hands-on executive leader to take on the role of COO / GM, responsible for driving operational excellence and scaling our business to the next level.

Position Summary

The COO / GM will oversee daily operations across all entities within our portfolio, leading a team of plant managers, service managers and administrative staff. This role will be responsible for optimizing production efficiency, standardizing processes across locations, ensuring exceptional service and contributing strategically to our growth and acquisition efforts. This position is based in South Florida and requires travel.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

Lead day-to-day operations across all commercial laundry and linen rental sites, ensuring consistency, efficiency and profitability

Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all facilities

Establish and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies

Collaborate with ownership and finance leadership to develop and execute strategic growth plans, including acquisitions and expansions Team Leadership & Development

Manage and mentor a cross-functional leadership team including plant managers, service/delivery managers and production supervisors

Lead recruitment, training, and retention strategies to build a high-performing operations team

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence Production & Plant Operations

Oversee production schedules, capacity planning, equipment maintenance and quality control

Ensure all plants maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness and compliance with regulatory requirements

Identify opportunities to improve plant layout, equipment utilization and automation Customer Service & Relationship Management

Partner with the sales and service teams to ensure exceptional client experience and retention

Resolve escalated service or operational issues promptly and professionally

Support expansion into new customer verticals or service territories as needed Supply Chain & Inventory

Optimize inventory management across locations for linen, chemicals, parts and consumables

Negotiate vendor contracts and manage supplier relationships to improve cost efficiency Technology & Systems

Evaluate and implement technology systems (ERP, route management, production tracking, etc.) to streamline operations

Drive data-driven decision making by developing real-time operational dashboards and reporting tools Financial & Budget Oversight

Work with finance leadership to develop and manage plant-level budgets, forecasts, and capital investment plans

Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), labor costs, and other key financial drivers

Drive initiatives to improve margins, reduce waste and optimize operational ROI Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure OSHA and industry safety standards are consistently followed

Implement best practices for environmental compliance and sustainability

Develop and maintain business continuity and risk management plansQualifications

Minimum 20 years of total experience in commercial laundry, textile rental, industrial manufacturing, or related operations.

At least 10 years in senior leadership roles (Plant Manager, Director of Operations, GM, COO, etc.).

Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering background strongly preferred. MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.

Proven ability to manage multi-site operations and large teams in a fast-paced, asset-intensive environment

Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with experience in industrial laundry equipment and process automation

Bilingual: English & Spanish

Exceptional leadership, organizational and communication skills.

Experience with ERP systems, route logistics and production planning software.Benefits
