Warehouse Worker/Laborer/Picker/Packer/Forklift Operator/Load/Unload

Our client, a warehouse distributor in Somerset, NJ, is looking for a Warehouse Associate/Picker Packer. This associate will ensure execution of all outbound orders dropped into the warehouse in accordance with approved systems and processes and aligned with relevant SOPs. This is a temp-to-perm position.

Monday-Friday 2p-10:30p

$18-$22/hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment including powered equipment, pallet jacks, and basic tools. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies, or necessary repairs to the supervisor and note on inspection sheet.

Ensure the warehouse area is clean and organized, and that all safety procedures are followed.

Pull and prepare orders for shipment, delivering the proper paperwork, packaging, and quantity for each order to the required destination in shipping and receiving within company productivity standards.

Audit, wrap, and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and warehouse standards.

Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material independently or as part of a team, depending on order volume and daily staffing needs.

Perform data entry, barcode scans, and other required quality assurance steps that confirm the contents of each order or receipt while tracking inventory for the organization.

Inspect incoming loads to ensure all material meets quality standards.

Load and unload trucks using the appropriate equipment and safety practices.

Verify the accuracy of outbound shipments by conducting detail audits of the product picked by Outbound pick ticket

Identify damage/ shortage/overage

Qualifications:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

At least 1 years warehouse experience

Electric pallet jack experience highly preferred

Bilingual greatly desired

HS degree/GED

RF Scanner/WMS experience highly preferred
