Description
The Butler University Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor. This position is a non-tenure track, 10-month appointment. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications at the time of hiring.
The highly qualified candidate has experience teaching nursing in classroom, clinical, laboratory and simulation environments. BSN teaching experience is preferred. Candidates are responsible for assigned teaching, participation in curriculum development, and mentoring undergraduate students. The candidate will engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities consistent with the requirements of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences faculty.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Master of Science degree in nursing, Doctorate preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical nursing practice
Minimum of 3 years academic teaching experience
Current unencumbered RN license in Indiana or eligibility for licensure in Indiana
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrated commitment to fostering an environment of equity, diversity, and inclusivity
About the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences: The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences offers programs leading to Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Healthcare and Business, Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Doctor of Medical Sciences. The addition of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a continuation of the expansion of healthcare programs in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
