Diesel Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and optimize the maintenance operations at our wet and dry plants. The Maintenance Supervisor will be instrumental in developing and implementing standard operating procedures for preventive and routine maintenance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the smooth operation of all plant systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs for both wet and dry plants to address regular wear and tear effectively.

· Team Management: Supervise on-site personnel providing guidance, support, and direction to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness.

· Planning and Budgeting: Create detailed plans, timelines, and budgets for plant repairs and maintenance projects.

· Vendor Coordination: Identify, hire, and manage external contractors for specialized tasks beyond internal team capabilities, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.

· Parts Inventory Management: Maintain a critical parts inventory to minimize plant downtime, ensuring timely procurement of necessary components.

· Procurement: Leverage a strong background in parts procurement to source quality materials and equipment at competitive prices.

· Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to company safety protocols and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

· Extensive industrial maintenance experience, with a focus on supervising and planning.

· Diesel mechanic experience is a requirement.

· Experience with conveyors and material moving equipment.

· Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.

· Strong background in procurement and inventory management.

· Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Experience managing contractors and external vendors, ensuring accountability and quality control.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Familiarity with sand production or similar industrial environments.

· Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and compliance.

· Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Company Description
