The Department of World Languages at Calvin University invites applications for part-time instruction in German. The appointment will be for the fall and spring semesters, beginning September 2025.
Requirements:
· A master’s degree or above or equivalent experience in German is required; applicants who also have five or more years of experience in teaching German at the beginner and intermediate levels (GERM 101-102, 201-202 or equivalent) will be preferred. The ability to teach German courses (language, culture, literature) at the advanced level will be an asset.
· All applicants must demonstrate the potential to teach effectively using a variety of methods and instructional technology as required.
· A commitment to the Christian faith and a willingness to integrate that faith into classroom teaching and student development is essential. Candidates are expected to affirm the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
