Job Description

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.), adhering to GAAP.

Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior management and the board, highlighting key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting revenue and expenses, considering business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations.

Manage all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.

Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.

Manage the relationship with external auditors, facilitating smooth audits and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting.

Proactively identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Research and interpret technical accounting pronouncements to ensure compliance.

Review contracts and advise on the financial implications of complex transactions prior to execution.

Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and investments, contributing to long-term financial planning and growth strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

CPA or CMA certification is required.

7-10+ years of progressive experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership position.

Deep understanding of GAAP and related regulations.

Required: Experience with NetSuite.

Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Essential Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.1

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Self-directed and capable of working independently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.

Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
