This position is a unique opportunity for an HVAC Technician or Journeyman Level Electrician with five plus years of experience in the industry to expand their career into HVAC/Building Automation.

Targeted towards a person interested in a career that is challenging in several disciplines.

This job requires Knowledge of Light Commercial HVAC Equipment; Package Rooftop Units, VAV Boxes, Exhaust Fans, or Light Commercial Electrical Construction Experience, Conduit, Wire Pulling, Troubleshooting Circuits.

It requires above-average computer skills, as well as both written and oral communication skills.

This position will also require the ability to travel 10 to 12 nights per month.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

• HVAC Trade School with three (3+) years field experience - or - five (5+) years field experience

• Above-Average Computer Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, ability to use HVAC Field Software

• Ability to provide project updates, both verbally and written.

• Responsible for keeping a schedule, meeting deadlines, and responsible for outcomes.

• Peer-to-Peer relationship and inter-company training, i.e., HVAC Controls, HVAC Mechanical and Software.

• Fifty percent (50%) of this position is Service, Preventive Maintenance, Field Programming/Software

Interacting with Customer Base

Service calls from Customer initiation to billing

Field programming changes

Decommissioning of existing HVAC Units for Replacement

Start-up and commissioning of New HVAC Units

• Fifty percent (50%) of this position will be retrofit work and new construction

Troubleshooting of Control Devices

Use of Hand tools, multi-meter

Calling Technical Support for OEM devices

Perform Field Service Calls

Service on existing equipment and control devices

Perform Field Installation/Project Work

• Wire Pulling

• Device Installation and wire termination

• Commissioning and Test and Balance

Field knowledge of OEM equipment and its sequence of operations

Specific requirements continued (physical)

• Must be able to climb a ladder. Work from a 12' ladder. Access rooftops via an extension ladder

• Must be able to Work Outdoors - including Extreme conditions

• Must be able to work in Non-Conditioned Buildings, i.e., New Construction

• Travel is involved, including overnight - up to Fifty percent (60%) Travel may be required
