About the Position:

The Pharmacology intern will support specific project(s) such as ex vivo muscle physiology, in vivo animal function, assay development, and biomarker analysis.

Essential Job Duties and Functions:

Assist in the design and execution of experiments

Analyze data using scientific software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel)

Conduct literature reviews

Maintain laboratory records and reports

Participate in team meetings and present findings Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in biology, physiology, pharmacology, biomedical science, or related field

Basic understanding of biology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, or biomedical science

Course work completed: biology, physiology, anatomy lab, chemistry, or biomedical engineering (this will likely be someone who has completed their junior year)

Basic understanding of lab techniques

Familiarity with lab safety protocols and data analysis

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

Basic understanding of biology, pharmacology, or muscle mechanics

Dissection, tissue isolation, tissue handling, surgical skills, animal work

Salary range: $20/hour; internship runs for 8-10 weeks
