What we need YOU to do:

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to join our team as project manager 1 with the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) at our Central Office in Franklin County.

We are looking for a client-focused, results-oriented person to manage OITS projects, including custom software solutions, to support the agency’s strategies and operations.

You’ll define project requirements, quality standards, risks and deliverables, and use Agile project management methodologies and software such as Jira and Clarity to maintain a projects portfolio. With a goal of exceeding client expectations, you’ll work with your section team to set and track project phases, deliverables, and milestones. You’ll also develop, maintain, and enforce ITS standards for project management life-cycle methodologies, including resource planning, prioritization, testing, and training.

We’ll rely on your keen communication skills to collaborate with OITS staff, internal Customer Relationship Managers (CRMs) and user groups and maintain regular contact with external stakeholders to identify project needs, communicate expectations and updates, and obtain feedback.

Manage custom software projects and service solutions.

Maintain project portfolio and track deliverables.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on IT solutions.

3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal); 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

-Or Successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned; 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
