Private, non-profit dog and cat rescue is seeking a part time or full time veterinarian to join our mission.

For vet willing to work more hours, we can offer paid CE, TVMBE licensing, AVMA and/or TVMA dues, DEA, PLIT.
4 weeks PTO for full time.
Since 2018, Three Little Pitties Rescue has saved over 16,000 dogs and cats from suffering. As a non profit 501c3 charity, our lifesaving work is through fostering, adoption, transport, and spay and neuter services. These animals are rescued from life on the street, abuse and neglect, and overcrowded shelters in the greater Houston area. In addition to facilitating thousands of adoptions, we are boots on the ground bringing education to the community through regular “block walks,” free vaccinations clinics, and free spay and neuter events in underserved neighborhoods. Our efforts help both animals and people.
All cats and dogs that come into our program receive full medical care and treatment for injuries and illness. We are unique in the greater Houston area and even southwest Texas because we take all breeds and sizes, including pregnant and nursing females. Dogs are temperament tested and receive specialized behavior training when needed. Once adopted, our team transports the animals to their new homes in the Pacific Northwest, including Canada, the Northeastern US, and we will soon be moving into the Midwest! We travel every two weeks delivering dogs and cats directly into the arms of their new families.
The clinic is located on 1.3 acres in Pearland, Brazoria County, and is a quiet environment with scheduled appointments. There is a newly renovated surgery suite with two tables and plenty of room to work. We have qualified veterinary assistants to handle animals, and onsite x-ray and lab. The biggest benefit: providing hope to the once hopeless dogs and cats of the greater Houston area.
This is not a high-volume surgery position, but the expectations include 5 spay or neuters a day, management of anesthetic procedures and drugs (must have DEA and insurance.) USDA accreditation is a plus as we are a USDA certified organization. We are open to negotiating days, hours, and responsibilities.
Pay is up for NEGOTIATION. Let's talk.
The rescue has insurance available, with contributions to benefits that include dental, vision, and medical.
