What You Will Do

Coordinate with internal project teams, consultants, contractors, engineers, fabricators, product reps, furniture dealers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

Develop overall design concepts and select interior finishes, furniture, etc.

Coordinate detailed documentation with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)

Ensure the design intent is incorporated into construction documentation

Resolve complex design issues with team to produceinnovative, technical, and constructible solutions

Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction

Review drawings, mockups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors

Actively participate and contribute to the financial performance of project

Review and contribute to proposals and contracts

Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships

Actively participate in Sym8 activities, initiatives, and learning curriculums

Contribute to Sym8s goals of altruism, wellness, and sustainability

Mentor and provide direction to junior team members

Develop and participate in internal presentations

Qualifications You Will Need

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

Knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications

Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques

Experience in construction document preparation and field observation

Collaborative and team consciousness

Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development

Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Strong leadership, presentation, client service, and relationship management skills

Superior verbal and written communication skills

Strong talent for organization and attention to detail

Excellent time-management skills with ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, and meet deadlines

Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient

Your Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited school

5+ years of experience in all phases of commercial interiors projects

LEED AP, WELL AP certifications highly valued
