Major Responsibilities

Install, test, maintain, inspect, modify, and repair all automation equipment, components, and control systems.

Coordinate with contractors and vendors to maintain plant operations and support new projects.

Perform instrument control programming and configuration for various control devices.

Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic or mechanical malfunctions using manuals and specifications.

Identify root causes and corrective actions for equipment and system alarms and jams.

Calibrate plant instruments including valves, pressure, temperature, and flow instruments.

Resolve and repair system faults and anomalies related to installation and operation.

Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment.

Dismantle, clean, repair, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.

Maintain preventative maintenance logs and accurate records of testing and repairs.

Promote a culture of teamwork and provide guidance to co-workers.

Follow and promote health and safety rules and regulations.

Lock out equipment for safe handling and servicing.

Troubleshoot problems with plant instrumentation and automation equipment.

Abide all regulations required by NEC, NFPA 70 E, and State requirements.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

AS degree in industrial controls technologies or related field or 3-5 years' experience in instrumentation/automation field, or a combination of education and experience.

Advanced level understanding of automated control systems and integration, electronics, robotics, fiber optic sensors, pneumatic-hydraulic controls, HMI touch panels, and PLC programming.

The pay starts at $39.91/hour and after 6 months will increase to $40.91/hour.
