Summary
Instructional duties of Non-Clinical Ophthalmology Assistant Program, with oversight of the program's curriculum and delivery. Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences in a hybrid teaching environment with in-person and online course delivery.
Essential Functions
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Deliver high-quality instruction in non-clinical ophthalmology topics such as administrative tasks, patient communication, office management, and ophthalmic terminology.
Facilitate both in-person and online classes, utilizing hybrid teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and in alignment with course structure and schedule.
Provide one-on-one mentorship to students, offering academic support and guidance to enhance student learning and performance.
Develop and deliver course content and assessments, ensuring alignment with program objectives and accreditation requirements.
Use Moodle and other eLearning platforms to engage students, deliver instructional content, and assess student outcomes.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with instructional technology and eLearning platforms, particularly Moodle.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Qualifications
IJCAHPO certification at or above the level of the content required
Ability to coordinate, administer, and manage programs.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with students, peers, business contacts, instructors, and staff in both written and verbal format.
Organizational skills, detail-oriented, multi-tasking, and flexibility.
Coaching and counseling skills.
Experienced in the use of Microsoft 0365 programs.
