This is an ESOL position for the 25-26 school year.
Summary:
Under the direction of the Supervisor for Programs for English Language Learners, the ESOL
Resource Teacher will maintain and monitor the implementation of the program.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and/or projects may be assigned.
Model effective teaching strategies for/with classroom teachers with debriefing time to work with teachers.
Provide coaching to classroom teachers in order to improve English language acquisition and instruction.
Assist teachers in developing model lesson plans, curriculum development and implementation, district
initiatives/resources.
Develop and conduct staff development for classroom teachers and bilingual education paraprofessionals
in specified English language acquisition strategies, best practices and specific instructional resources.
Conduct Data Conferences with classroom teachers to interpret data and plan instruction.
Assist classroom teachers with parent conferences.
Meet regularly with site administrators regarding classroom practices and provide on-going non-evaluative
feedback.
Serve as an instructional support resource for parents/community.
Maintain and monitor implementation of ELL Program Guidelines and Procedures, inclusive of FTE
auditing and FLDOE and USDOE compliance.
Assume any other duties as assigned.
