A recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of high-performance gas delivery systems and precision equipment is currently seeking an Electronics Assembler to join their Production Department.
This role is in Malvern, PA, and involves assembling electrical controllers, electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems for a range of client-manufactured products, ensuring all assemblies meet rigorous quality and performance standards.
This is a 1st shift opening, 7am - 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, layout drawings, procedures, work instructions, and component specifications to execute builds.
- Assemble complex electrical and electronic systems and supporting structures.
- Precisely position, align, and install subassemblies, wiring, and components such as transformers, inverters, PLCs, and relays onto enclosures and sub-panels based on layout and wiring diagrams.
- Route, secure, interconnect, and terminate wiring within equipment, ensuring proper connections to control and remote enclosures.
- Inspect, test, and verify the continuity of circuits in wiring installations using testing equipment.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes to ensure functionality.
- Align and adjust components to guarantee proper fit and operation.
- Provide troubleshooting support, performing electrical repairs or adjustments as required.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend design improvements based on assembly feedback.
- Accurately record labor hours and materials used for each project.
- Perform other production duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Job Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and drafting electrical schematics and diagrams.
- 2-4 years of experience in electrical assembly, controller assembly, or electrical trades.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with hands-on experience using tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, drills, taps, and hand tools.
- Practical knowledge of 120V, 240V, 480VAC, and 24VDC control systems.
- Familiarity with NEC and UL 508a wiring standards and practices.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining accountability.
Key Qualifications:
- PLC knowledge and experience with programming or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring good vision, dexterity, and prolonged periods of sitting or working with small components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or additional training in electrical systems preferred.
