Job Description:
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for both pricing analytics and price hosting activities. Pricing analytics includes developing, implementing, and evaluating retail pricing strategies for our corporate retail stores. Price hosting activities include the day to day execution of various activities supporting corporate retail stores to include regular and promotional retail changes, electronic marketing and loyalty offers, invoice reconciliation, item authorizations, scale management and customer support.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Conduct scheduled pricing reviews to maintain competitive price position and drive performance; breadth and depth of reviews will vary based on item and category role and performance analytics.
Work cross functionally with the Pricing leaders and the Merchandising team to lead the development of pricing strategies for assigned categories.
Build analytic models to identify opportunities to improve performance of assigned categories, create and model scenarios, develop and implement in-market tests, assess results, gain alignment for strategy changes, and reconfigure tools to support agreed-upon changes.
Process all components of the direct store delivery (DSD) maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform invoice reconciliation process for all DSD vendors servicing corporate stores.
Identify and research discrepancies, resolve out of tolerance invoices and follow up with applicable internal department and/or DSD vendor as needed.
Research and resolve calls placed through the pricing hotline serving as the final touch point for all information flowing to corporate retail systems to include back door receiving, scanning, scales and point of sale applications.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Business Administration, Analytics, Finance, Marketing, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Three years of relevant experience (retail industry and/or supermarket experience preferred)
Efficient with excel and other Microsoft office applications
Strong technical and analytical skills
Innovative and self-motivated
Ability to work independently on routine tasks and participate in special projects and initiatives
Understanding of retail pricing strategies and principles
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collect data, analyze trends (and make decisions)
