Responsibilities:
• 8 years + hands on experience in a technical storage infrastructure operational role technical understanding of storage technologies including Dell EMC: VMAX, VNX, Unity, Centera, Isilon and associated management tools
• NetApp: 7-mode, CDOT, Operations Manager, OCUM, On Command
• Hands-on experience supporting multi-platform storage environments.
• Demonstrate ability to succeed in a large global company with a complex IT environment.
• Ability to manage own workload and deliver results in fast paced, demanding environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a globally dispersed team
• Work to ITIL best practices in regard to incident management, change management, configuration, problem management.
• Manage services to SLA/OLA. Ensure all severity issues are acted on to SLA/OLA. Work with major incident managers and peers from other groups to resolve major incidents to resolution.
• Prepare root cause analysis as required and present as appropriate.
• Participate in on-call for out of hours support related to supporting storage infrastructure globally.
• Work proactively to manage performance of the storage technologies and avoid issues related to performance. If performance issues do occur, use appropriate tools and processes to diagnose and address in a timely manner.
• Participate in vendor service review to ensure that they are attaining service levels.
• Manage advanced technical issues escalated from technical peers for problem resolution
• Create, modify and publish process and procedural documentation.
• Perform installations, patches, code upgrades, capacity planning and performance tuning; through approved Change Management mechanisms of the Storage Assets globally.
• Maintain and monitor compliance to corporate security policies.
• Participate in Storage Security Audit reviews regularly to ensure they are compliant and address any issues immediately.
• Identify and implement process improvements including automation where appropriate. Support application Disaster Recovery tests.
• Block storage devices
• Excellent communication skill required, both written and verbal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help resolve technical issues with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to actively troubleshoot incidents and escalate appropriate
• Expert in Storage provisioning, Storage reclaims and storage capacity analysis on Dell EMC Unity, Isilon. NetApp 7-Mode and CDOT.
• Has knowledge in scripting & implementation of automation to reduce manual effort using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl or others.
• Has the knowledge on public cloud essentials for providers including AWS & Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge in ITIL processes ( Incident, Change, Request and Problem Management)
