Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University's Division of Public Affairs is seeking a Web Content Specialist / Writer in Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of responsibilities include:

Create new content for website pages, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with the university's goals and branding.

Update and optimize existing web content to improve engagement and meet current marketing objectives.

Collaborate with the web development team and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of content for new pages.

Write content for various marketing collateral, coordinating with relevant teams to maintain consistency across platforms.

Implement SEO best practices to increase website visibility and search engine rankings.

Conduct research to ensure content accuracy and relevancy, staying informed about industry trends and developments.

Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate content ideas for various projects.

Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field.

• Proven experience in content writing, preferably within a web-focused role.

• Familiarity with SEO techniques and tools.

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of content management systems (CMS).

• Experience with graphic design or multimedia content creation.

Salary:$50,000 - $60,000 per year.

Work Days and Hours:Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
