PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Admission, the Temporary Admission Assistant is expected to provide quality customer service to campus visitors and essential support in admissions operations.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conduct in-person and virtual information sessions for prospective students and families
Interview applicants as part of the admission evaluation process
Communicate with students and families via phone and Zoom
Assist with summer admission programs and office initiatives
Active support for the College’s Principles of Community and Principles of Diversity in the performance of job duties.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the job.
Some experience working in an Admission office is preferred.
Strong understanding of a liberal arts education is preferred.

HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS:
This is a temporary status, part-time (no more than 30 hours per week), non-benefits-eligible, non-exempt position.
The regular hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:30 am-3:00 pm. Hours may vary due to the needs of the College or department.
This position is expected to end on or before September 1, 2025. This position is not eligible for remote work.
Hourly rate range: $19.00-$21.00. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

None.
