Our client is looking for an enthusiastic GIS professional to join their team and help maintain, analyze, and enhance their GIS-connected model, specifically for electric utility systems.
Maintain and update GIS models for electric utility systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Perform spatial analysis, create custom maps, and generate detailed reports based on GIS data.
Work with a variety of data sources, including work orders, as-built construction drawings, field reports, and more, to update and resolve GIS-related issues.
Perform field investigations when necessary (approximately 5-10% of the role).
Assist with major utility projects, including facility relocations and load rearrangement, using GIS tools and analysis.
Resolve conflicts in data, mapping, and connectivity through both office and field investigations.
Required Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience with GIS (either from work experience, internships, or academic projects).
Strong understanding of GIS principles and spatial data relationships.
Experience with GIS software and tools.
Familiarity with tools like MicroStation or AutoCAD is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for limited field work.
