GIS Mapper (On-site)

Are you ready to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, helping to map and maintain crucial Utility Systems? We are looking for a GIS Mapper to join our client's team and support the construction, operation, and maintenance of essential utility infrastructure.

Maintain and update the GIS connected model with accurate data from work management systems, construction drawings, work orders, field reports, and more.

Conduct analysis and run queries to generate detailed reports, charts, maps, and other data visualizations from asset information.

Produce standard and custom prints or ad-hoc plots for field requests derived from GIS models and additional data sources.

Ensure the accuracy of service point data, including connections to source transformers, and track utility asset life cycles (inspection, maintenance, history).

Resolve data discrepancies, mapping, and land issues through investigations in the office or field.

Support major projects, including facility relocations, load rearrangements, and new business development.

Operate office equipment such as printers, plotters, scanners, and duplication machines.

Maintain organized records and files related to GIS work.

Assist in drafting and fieldwork as required.

Perform manual and computer-aided drafting (CAD) work as needed.

Required Qualifications:

1-2 years of GIS experience, either through formal education or work-related experience.

Must be able to quickly gain a working knowledge of:

Company business applications and software.

Utility transmission and distribution systems.

Safety rules and maintenance manuals relevant to your role.

Ability to travel to various locations as needed based on business demands.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows applications.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
