Performs technical workups and patient interviews to include history documentation.
Maintains patient traffic to exam and procedures rooms to ensure steady flow for physicians. Administer drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes. Maintain stock of supplies and medications.
Perform routine operational maintenance of ocular equipment and surgical instruments.
Performs other tests and measurements as requested by Ophthalmologist.. Gives appropriate patient educational handouts and training to patients. Maintain schedule updates.
Provide physicians with assistance as needed.
Hours could be 9-5:30, 8:00-4:30, and 10:00-6:30 pm Monday-Friday and 2 Saturdays a month from 9-2. Medical insurance, Medical -2 options with an employer/employee contribution. 13 days off (5 which are sick/personal & 8 vacation days). Holidays 6, and a 401K up to 3% of salary (50% match).
