Exploration 3D Modelling Geologist

Reporting to the Exploration Advisor, you will support the 3D modelling needs of the Hope Bay Exploration Team by participating in the interpretation of geological data of the Hope Bay Greenstone belt. The main task will be to build 3D models based on lithological, structural and/or mineralization data.

As a key team member, you will need to demonstrate curiosity, autonomy, excellent organizational and communication skills, a good spirit of collaboration, and a desire to work in differentiated geological environments associated with deposits and analytical skills. You must also be able to integrate as much data as possible to help interpret and build models. You will act as a reference person in terms of data availability and quality, and geological understanding of the deposit, and you will collaborate with various departments and properly communicating your observations and interpretations.

Ensure 3D modelling for the various mandates assigned

Ensure quality geological interpretation in line with industry best practices

Ensure the delivery of a quality model within established deadlines

Generate geological interpretation and 3D geological models through data compilation

Contribute to the planning of the exploration programs and target generation

Work to improve geological models and mineralization controls

Assist in training and mentoring within the Hope Bay Exploration team

Contribute to the overall geological knowledge of the property

Communicate appropriately and work closely with the various Agnico Eagle expert groups

Provide relevant geological information to other technical services disciplines (mining engineering, infrastructure, geotechnical, environment and metallurgy) and support them by answering their questions

· Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering

· Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in geology, including 2 years of experience in modelling

· Be a member in good standing of a professional association (Geologists or Engineers)

· Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo, Leapfrog Edge, Datamine Studio RM and Snowden Supervisor is an asset

· Ability to work independently and with a team; meet tight deadlines and deliver quality products

· Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, engaging with diverse groups and perspectives

· Experience working in a multicultural environment and in the Canadian Arctic are an asset

· Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from Edmonton, Alberta, or Yellowknife, NWT.

Accommodation and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from Hope Bay Project and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
