PGS Worldwide is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electronics Assembler in Oldsmar, FL, to support high-reliability circuit card production for leading aerospace and defense programs. This hands-on role is critical for ensuring the quality and functionality of mission-critical hardware. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity, and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
Perform soldering to IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
Assemble and rework circuit card assemblies using a variety of precision hand tools
Work effectively within an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controlled environment
Operate microscopes for detailed inspection, masking, de-masking, and conformal coating touch-up
Read and interpret electronic work instructions, drawings, and diagrams
Accurately complete documentation and maintain production quality records
Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet strict manufacturing and safety standards
First Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST
Overtime: May be required on weekends
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Candidates must pass a pre-employment medical screening as outlined in the supplier guide
U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency may be required based on project needs
Minimum of 3 years' experience in soldering to IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards
Hands-on experience building and reworking printed circuit card assemblies
Experience working in an ESD-protected environment
Skilled with hand tools used in electronics assembly (e.g., soldering irons, tweezers, cutters)
Proficiency working under a microscope for precision assembly and inspection
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Strong computer skills for navigating and completing electronic work instructions
Mechanically inclined with strong hand-eye coordination
Desired:
Experience with masking, de-masking, and conformal coating touch-up
Familiarity with basic production and quality assurance processes in aerospace/defense manufacturing
