PGS Worldwide is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electronic Assembler in Greenlawn, NY, with advanced soldering skills to support high-reliability builds for critical aerospace and defense programs. Job Description:
Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and complete modules using schematics, wiring diagrams, prints, visual aids, and process sheets
Perform hand soldering of wires, terminals, and components with precision to meet tight tolerances
Install wire harnesses, cable assemblies, relays, capacitors, resistors, and transformers
Follow routing and build instructions for mechanical and electrical assembly using appropriate tools and fasteners
Inspect and verify work for conformance with specifications and perform rework or touch-up as required
Use hand tools, soldering irons, and basic production equipment in a controlled manufacturing environment
Collaborate with team leads and quality inspectors to maintain high standards of workmanship
Requirements:
US Citizenship
Minimum of 2 years of high school or trade school education
Proven experience performing precision soldering for electronic assemblies
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring lists
Skilled in wire termination and component installation
Familiarity with mechanical fasteners and electronic component handling
Must be able to work effectively on a production floor with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence
Desired:
Prior experience assembling electronics for aerospace, military, or high-reliability environments
IPC-610 or J-STD-001 soldering certification is a plus
Knowledge of ESD-safe handling procedures
