The GIS Conversion Analyst is responsible for the conversion and configuration of E&O (Engineering and Operations) GIS geodatabases. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the team to understand and fulfill needs to automate processes to extract, transform, load and validate data.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid (after an initial training period) from one of our office locations:

Lake Saint Louis, MO
Mandan, ND
Hybrid Schedule: Minimum of working 3 days per week in the office and ability to work up to all 5 days a week in the office, as needed
Required Days from an Office Location: Tuesday and Wednesday - the third required day will be up to the candidate and their supervisor to choose
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform GIS project responsibilities by converting customer GIS/staking, engineering and CAD data to NISC GIS data model for use with NISC E&O software, according to all NISC established project conversion guidelines
Perform quality analysis of customer legacy mapping data sources to assess readiness for use in Engineering and Operations products. Develop written report of analysis findings, scope of work, and proposal of data cleanup services
Assists with data issues for customers who are using NISC E&O products and recommends changes or enhancements, as directed
Provides superior customer service to our customers in all encounters
Promotes and maintains a high-quality, professional, service-oriented company image among users and prospects
Assists in identifying data requirements related to E&O products
Conveys customer feedback to management and product development staff, as appropriate
May be required to travel to customer sites on occasion

Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software including ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS
Strong understanding of how databases are built and modified through the ArcGIS interface
Strong knowledge of coordinate systems
Strong foundation of concepts in GIS
Strong understanding of geometric networks
Excellent research and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
Strong desire to produce high quality conversions
Strong PC skills
Basic knowledge of SQL Server Express including Management Studio Express and how SQL Server is used within ESRI applications
Basic knowledge of Python
Basic knowledge of FME
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Access, Word and Excel
Knowledge of the electric and telecom industry or other related industry as related to engineering and operations
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation
Familiarity with basic RUS construction unit naming conventions
Familiarity with project management processes and theory
Ability to organize and prioritize a large work volume
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts
Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
Strong telephone etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with Customers
Desired Education and Experience:
Generally, requires three to five years of experience in geographic information software systems and applications to include ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD or other mapping systems. Experience with electric distribution systems and telecom a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in a professional field (GIS, Geography or information technology preferred) or equivalent experience.
