Job Description

Bose has one of the strongest reputations in the automotive industry for providing outstanding audio and noise management solutions to OEM manufacturers in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Since 1983, we have been designing, manufacturing, and marketing premium audio and noise management systems for world-class nameplates such as Hyundai, Kia, Audi, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Infiniti, Mazda, Nissan, Porsche, and Renault.

The Automotive Systems Division (ASD) at Bose is seeking a Senior Account Manager to work in our newly established office in Seoul, Korea. Primary responsibilities will include managing our commercial relationships with new and existing customers in Korea. This mainly includes pricing, RFP/RFQ management, requirements capturing, contract review, forecasting, change requests, and product development support. This role also includes working as part of a global, cross-functional team to identify, pursue, and secure new business development opportunities.

Specific responsibilities include:

Identifying and maintaining key customer contacts who are responsible for making, influencing, or implementing supplier sourcing decisions

Maintaining a short, medium, and long-term forecast including opportunities, volumes, and pricing.

Working closely with the Customer Manager, Business Development Manager, and Technical Sales Manager to identify new business pursuit opportunities, develop strategies, support advanced concept and selling activities, and gather customer specific requirements in preparation for the RFQ process.

Managing the Quotation Submission process, including the capturing of commercial or contractual requirements, our internal governance (known as the Program Approval process), and the customer RFQ or RFQ response process, as well as all subsequent change requests or negotiations necessary to secure the business.

Maintaining component pricing, including inputs into our New Product Planning Process (price setting for new products), RFQ responses, purchase contracts, annual price negotiations, and change management activities. Pricing is maintained in both SAP and in our Saphran forecasting tool.

Working closely with Bose Legal to review and negotiate customer contracts, including NDA’s, master purchase agreements, LOI’s, and basic terms and conditions.

Working closely with Product Development and Supply Chain team members to support change requests, prototype and pre-production orders, and other pre-SOP launch and go-to-market activities

Experience and qualifications:

8+ years work experience in the automotive industry in a sales or business development role at a Tier 1 supplier selling factory-installed components directly to OEM’s 5+ years work experience at a automotive supplier is a must.

Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write Korean at a native level. Must be able to speak, read, and write English at a near-native level

Experience working in regional sales or branch office is preferred

Experience selling audio, software, or complex electrical systems is required .

Strong analytical, business, communication, and organizational skills are required.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively solve problems across time zones, cultures, and functions.
