Purchasing Specialist

Precise Systems seeks a Purchasing Specialist with a strong technical aptitude to provide client support on technical supply chain projects and process day-to-day procurements supporting Precise Systems contracts with our federal clients.

This role can be executed from Reston, Virginia or Lexington Park, Maryland or Orlando, Florida. 2 days per week in Precise offices required regardless of location

Responsibilities:

Source, quote, and order commercial products and services of moderate value and complexity in support of Precise and our customers in accordance with Precise’s procurement policies and procedures

Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets

Perform market research and analyze competitors to determine what products are featured in in various online marketplaces

Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods

Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, or delivery issues.

Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities

Work with the management team to ensure all deliveries satisfy internal and external customers

Prepare reports and updates as and when required

Identifies and independently resolves moderate issues and problems on assigned purchases

Education:

Bachelors Degree preferred

Experience:

At least five (5) years of government or government contracting purchasing experience

Experience with Coupa

Experience with Costpoint

Experience working in a CPSR environment

Experience working in high paced environment

Other Requirements:

Experience buying complex lab equipment, supplies, and services a bonus

Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $69,090.42 to $102,135.62 annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
