FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, exempt

REPORTS TO: Chief of Revenue

LOCATION: Hybrid, 2+ day per month in-office

Job Description

Weather Stream is searching for an experienced Marketing Manager who knows how to blend weather science or aeronautics with marketing, taking complex technical ideas and simplifying them for a broader audience as you run marketing campaigns through different social channels, create content (written, video, etc), and manage Weather Stream's marketing infrastructure.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned:

Plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Develop and schedule content, monitor engagement, and analyze social media performance.

Manage and grow the company's presence on social media platforms.

Develop and edit video content while being comfortable on-camera.

Manage and optimize the company's WordPress website, focusing on developing and curating content related to meteorology and earth sciences framed for Weather Stream's customer base.

Ensure the brand is consistently represented in all marketing initiatives.

Work closely with sales and product teams to ensure marketing efforts support business goals.

Build and maintain relationships with journalists, pitching stories and insights to enhance Weather Stream's visibility.

Ability to attend or host local, industry specific events.

Identify and coordinate opportunities to develop earned media.

Monitor and respond to emerging trends in new space, aerospace, meteorology and earth sciences, leveraging insights to craft growth-focused campaigns that expand brand visibility and influence.

Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and partners as needed.

Embrace, utilize and inform on generative AI tools and trends. Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

Experience with WordPress, HubSpot, LinkedIn, Canva, Google Analytics, Microsoft Suite.

Strong knowledge and experience working all digital marketing channels, particularly video-based content.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for multiple stakeholders, translating complex ideas into simple concepts.

Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.

Excels in Program and Project Management. Education and/or Experience

Degree in marketing, communications, or meteorology preferred but not required

7+ years of experience, or demonstrated knowledge of requirements for the position Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Position Type / Expected Hours Worked

This is a full-time hybrid position, working occasionally in the office 2+ days per month. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area, overnight or international travel will be expected for event and trade show attendance and hosting.

Compensation And Benefits

We value our employees' time and efforts. Our commitment to your success is enhanced by a salary of $95,000 - $120,000 with total compensation including stock options and benefits, plus potential to earn an annual bonus and merit increase. Weather Stream is conveniently located in Boulder, Colorado. In addition to a great location, we offer a fantastic benefits package!
