Position: Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment

Location: Headquarters Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 PM

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for working with management to optimize processes to ensure efficient production of products. This position provides technical and project management support of capital improvement projects at equipment manufacturing facilities. The Manufacturing Engineer will employ industrial engineering concepts to document, acquire data, and analyze existing processes to identify bottlenecks, develop strategies to optimize efficiencies, and reduce costs through process improvements. The Manufacturing Engineer will also be involved in investigations of assigned process-related quality issues through resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

Develop technical specifications, equipment specifications and drawings for proper design

Assist with evaluation of supplier bids for technical compliance

Coordinate internal stakeholders to design for best practice

Work with engineering and construction subcontractors to ensure work follows project scope and budget

Maintain project files

Track project costs utilizing SAP Project Systems

Provide periodic status reports, cost reports as directed

Work with internal and external resources to ensure work is completed to applicable environmental and government requirements

Process improvement: Analyze current production methods, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs through process improvements

Design and development: Improve existing and introduce new manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, and tooling to support production enhancements

Calculate production costs, analyze material usage, and identify opportunities for cost reduction

Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and inform decision-making

Work closely with management, design engineering team, production personnel, and quality control team to address manufacturing challenges

Comply with all company policies and procedures

Work safely, fully participate in, and support all corporate programs related to safety

Investigating assigned process-related quality issues through resolution

Ensure a fair procurement process

Generate purchase requisitions and approve payment

Create or direct the preparation of bid documents for subcontracted activities

Monitor and control supplier's adherence to meeting specifications, schedule, and scope

Qualifications

A bachelors degree or equivalent certification from a 4-year college or university is required (Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering)

2-3 years of industrial manufacturing experience is required

2-3 years of engineering experience is required
