Pace is seeking a Senior Editor to join the team! The Senior Editor leads the creation of assets for a B2B account or various work streams as an editor and writer. This role reports to the Creative Director.
This is a temporary, part-time hourly position averaging approximately 24 hours per week, with potential for increased hours and the opportunity to transition to full-time. The position is expected to continue through the end of 2025.
We are currently focusing our recruiting in North Carolina - Please note, employees living within 50 miles of Pace HQ will be expected to comply with our hybrid policy (In office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays). Employees living between 50-100 miles of Pace HQ are required to come into the office once a month.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Write and edit all content types, including short-and-long form articles, white papers, digital and social, video scripts, case studies, executive bylines, and display for B2B audiences
Craft unique, emotionally driven, audience-centric stories that resonate with B2B customers
Develop subject matter expertise for designated account through research and interviews
Responsible for providing clean R1 and R2 copy to top editor
Understand and enforce the brand guidelines for assigned client work
Collaborate with Art peers
Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to apply them to creative assets
Actively participate in brainstorms and ideation sessions
Participate in, advocate for, and enforce the creative process
Creation and ownership of the creative slides in PowerPoint as a part of the larger presentation deck
Present creative work internally and externally

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism or a related field
Experience:
5-8 years of experience as an editor in a fast-paced environment (working at a content/media agency and working in a digital environment are highly preferred).

Skills:
Exceptional writing/editing skills across content types
Ability to ramp up quickly to create B2B content on complex topics.
Ability to curate, create, and publish content from start to finish
Ability to interview SMEs on complex topics
Strong storytelling skills
Ability to articulate the solve for “The Strategic Why” presented by the strategy team and how the creative team will uniquely address the strategic insight to help meet business objectives

WHAT WE OFFER:
The salary for this position will range from $36-46/hour depending on experience, education, geographical location, and other factors.
