Chemical Packaging Technician

Our client, a leader in the chemical industry, is seeking a Chemical Packaging Technician to join their team. As a Chemical Packaging Technician, you will be part of the operations supporting high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Chemical Packaging Operator

Location: Urbana, IL

Duration: 12+ Month Contract with possible temp to perm.

What's the Job?

Receive materials that have cleared final quality inspection and prepare appropriate packaging containers.

Fill prepared containers according to the required configuration and ensure accurate labeling of packaged products.

Complete detail-oriented paperwork and computer transactions to support packaging and ERP systems.

Maintain and ensure the accuracy of departmental SOPs while keeping the packaging department organized and clean.

Assist the shipping department with support tasks as needed to ensure timely completion of orders.

What's Needed?

Minimum of an associate's degree in chemistry or other life sciences, or some college-level science coursework with 2+ years of professional chemical handling experience.

Strong organization skills and ability to multitask in a high-demand environment.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and maintain physical stamina for extended periods.

Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is preferred.

Familiarity with SAPNext ERP software is a plus.
