Designer Associate

Our client, a leader in the electric utility industry, is seeking a Designer Associate to join their team. As a Designer Associate, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully with the organization.

Location: New Albany, OH

Pay Range: Up to $23.57/hr

Duration: 12 months (potential to extend/convert)

What's the Job?

Update 3D Inventor part orientations for 500 power equipment components in 3D Inventor.

Ensure alignment of practices and consistency by finding and updating all similar Inventor Parts in the same category.

Check work by swapping Parts into Inventor Assemblies to confirm adherence and compliance.

Obtain necessary information from various sources including verbal communication, sketches, and technical manuals.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.

What's Needed?

Associate degree in applied science (AAS) drafting and computer-aided design (CAD) or relevant equivalent experience.

High school diploma with 4 years of experience in electric utility and/or related industrial drafting and/or computer-aided drafting work is acceptable.

Proficiency in 3D computer-aided design software, including Autodesk Inventor & Vault; experience with AutoCAD is preferred.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office software.

Ability to actively seek out information to increase technical knowledge in the area of responsibility.
