The Opportunity

We're looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to architect the future of technology at Improveit—not from the ivory tower but from the trenches. This isn’t a role for someone content to sit back and delegate. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves, high-impact leadership position for someone who is as comfortable in code as they are in the boardroom.

The ideal candidate will bring visionary leadership to our technology roadmap and be willing to get their hands dirty—especially when it comes to our Salesforce platform, call center contact management systems, and business-critical integrations that power our marketing, sales, ordering, installation, and service operations.

Areas of Oversight:

Strategic Technology Leadership

Define and execute the overall technology strategy in alignment with company goals—focused on customer experience, sales growth, marketing automation, and operational scalability.

Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and executive team, contributing to cross-functional strategy, innovation, and execution.

Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing IT team that thrives in a culture of accountability, agility, and ownership.

Continuously evaluate the newest technology tools and trends while leveraging major advancements like AI to drive the business forward.Salesforce Development & Architecture

Working with Departmental leadership, help drive the vision for our Salesforce environment (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud. etc) and its integrated technologies.

Oversee hands-on development (Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, API integrations) alongside internal and external developers, admins and consultants.

Partner with business units to automate workflows, enhance user experience, and scale system functionality as the business grows.

Stay ahead of platform changes and continuously optimize our CRM architecture for performance and usability.Call Center Technology & Performance

Oversee and manage telephony systems (e.g., VoIP, call routing, IVR, softphones).

Own the performance, integration, and optimization of call center dialing software—ensuring uptime, compliance, efficiency and peak performance - systems like Ring Central, Nice-In-Contact.

Partner closely with call center leaders to monitor and improve dialing strategies, contact rates, and campaign effectiveness through the smart use of technology.

Ensure seamless integration between telephony platforms and Salesforce.Technology Operations & Infrastructure

Oversee all IT infrastructure and security operations, ensuring data integrity, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.

Evaluate and implement scalable systems and tools to support sales, marketing, customer service, HR, finance, and field operations.

Maintain and enforce best-in-class policies for help desk systems and processes, data security, user access, and disaster recovery planning.

Data-Driven Decision Making

Champion a culture of data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Partner with business leaders to ensure key metrics and dashboards are available, accessible, and actionable.

Leverage data to uncover insights, identify trends, and drive performance improvements across sales, marketing, operations, and customer experience.

Own and enhance the company’s business intelligence tool set, including applications used and repositories (data lake) and reporting infrastructure.

Ensure data accuracy, governance, and security across systems.Team & Vendor Management

Lead internal technical talent and manage vendor relationships for development, infrastructure, and support services.

Set KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure alignment between IT priorities and business outcomes.

Foster a culture of problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement.Who We’re Looking For

7 – 10+ years of technology leadership experience, ideally in a high-growth, multi-location company environment.

Hands-on Technology management experience required—this is not a hands-off role.

In-depth Salesforce understanding and experience

Proven experience overseeing call center technology, dialing platforms, and telephony systems.

Exceptional acumen for managing IT infrastructure, security, and software integration and associated best practices.

Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Experience leading and developing internal IT teams and external partners.

Experience in home services, home improvement, or related industries is a strong plus.

Knowledge of sales-driven, high-performance environments and an appreciation for how tech enables revenue growth.Who You Are
