Hudson Printing is searching for skilled individuals who are mechanically inclined. Mechanical experience and machinery operation are preferred but not necessary. This is a great opportunity to take your skills and invest them into a long-term career with competitive pay and benefits.

Starting pay for no machinery operation experience will range from $15-16/hr. with the first 90-days as a trial period. Excellent attitude, attendance, and performance lead to continuous pay increases during regular performance reviews. Long term Operators can make up to $18 to $25 hour.

Primary Duties

Operate Guillotine Cutting Machinery, Folder Machinery, Saddle Stitch Binding Machinery, or Perfect Binding Machinery

Maintain the equipment and keep the machine running

Continuously monitor quality and conditions while assessing the machine functionality

Staging pallets and completed pallets

Visually inspect finished product quality and certify quality to customer specifications

Maintain efficiency and minimize waste

Perform regular preventative maintenance and work with maintenance crews

Use a hydraulic pallet jack to move around paper and printed product

Required Skills & Experience

Must have basic math skills, i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as fractions and decimals. Must be able to read a ruler.

Must have auto, industrial, or some other form of mechanical experience

Must have a good command of the English language — i.e. able to communicate effectively both orally and in written language (such as job tickets), as well as explaining information and asking questions of co-workers or supervisor.

Manufacturing machine operation experience is highly preferred

Keen attention to detail

Strong technical troubleshooting skills

Ability to stand and move around the work area for long periods of time

Occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 85 pounds

Support company safety policies and encourage employees to work safely

Day A-Shift: Sun-Tue, (6 AM - 6 PM)

Day C-Shift: Wed-Friday (6 AM - 6 PM)

Night B-Shift: Sun-Tue, (6 PM - 6 AM)

Night D-Shift: Wed-Friday (6 PM - 6 AM)

Workload may require working additional hours/days, including weekends, and, on rare occasions, holidays.
