BlueCat is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented individual who excels in a highly technical, team-oriented environment to join BlueCat’s Product Management Team as a Principal Product Manager.
BlueCat offers a comprehensive set of solutions centered around the management of DNS and DHCP services in tandem with IP Address Management to unify, visualize, and automate the needs of the core network from a single source of truth.
Our focus is on bringing these critical capabilities to all types of customers across a wide range of technologies such as cloud and software-defined networking platforms.
As a Principal Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to define strategy and drive product enhancements from conception to delivery.
Understanding the customer challenges, identifying market requirements, defining use cases, and aligning prioritization to ensure that, in tandem with our development teams, we are delivering high-quality solutions which enables our customers to succeed.
Key Responsibilities: • Help develop a compelling product vision for your assigned product(s) • Meet with customers and partners to gather feedback and understand their needs • Translate customer needs into clear product goals • Partner with development teams in story mapping, discuss sizing, aligning on priorities • Write, refine, and approve features, with clearly articulated acceptance criteria.
• Document product behavior and user experience details • Work closely with development to address implementation issues • Ensure technical accuracy in documentation • Communicate product updates and features to stakeholders like customers, support, and marketing • Participate in building product pipeline by assisting sales teams • Represent assigned products during internal planning and business review meetings Qualifications: • 5 years related experience in product management • Enthusiastic, thorough, and results-oriented mindset • Relevant educational background (Computer Science, Engineering) • Strong organizational and communication skills • Prior experience with networking • Prior experience building SaaS platforms is a plus • Prior experience with DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) is a plus • Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus
