POSITION SUMMARY: This is an hourly productive position with time allocations expected to be 70% or more direct and 30% or less indirect.
This position oversees the daily activities of the press brake production and performs typical press brake operations to produce finished goods and support the assembly departments.

• Utilizes the Work Center Dispatch Report in due date order to coordinate workflow scheduling.
Exceptions will be communicated by production control or operations manager.
• Assists the Press Brake Operators with set-ups, questions and workload responsibilities.
• Ensure that operators are adequately trained and equipped so that work can be performed in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner..
• Keep Operations Manager advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.
• Work with Engineering on first articles, new projects, etc.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.
• Must be able to operate, install tooling and set-up mechanical or pneumatic press brakes.
• Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection using calipers and basic measuring tools.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
• Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on press brake as required.
• Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the department, they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performed by other department members.
