Description Psomas is seeking a creative Project Landscape Architect to join our dynamic Team in either Tacoma or Seattle!
In this leadership role, you will oversee project management, pursue new and impactful opportunities, and contribute to design solutions that support our community-driven projects.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a passion for municipal design projects, including streetscapes, plazas, trails, wayfinding, parks, gateways, and master planning.

Roles Responsibilities Manage design projects from scoping to construction management, ensuring timelines, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations are met Manage multiple project commitments effectively; prioritize tasks, adapt to changing needs, and maintain accountability Lead community engagement plans, facilitate at stakeholder workshops, design charrettes, and present at City Council meetings Document and provide strong verbal and written communication for design studies, plans, guides and standards for municipalities Develop proposals and work proactively to identify marketing pursuits and secure desirable future projects Comfortable with initiating design concepts and providing mentorship to emerging designers Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated design solutions for master planning, municipal streetscape, trail, plaza, park, and open space projects Effectively communicate design ideas visually, verbally, and in writing to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in the landscape architecture/urban design field A bachelor's or master's degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA, BSLA, MLA) Professional Landscape Architect License (PLA) PSE construction documentation expertise Knowledgeable with the latest versions of AutoCAD™ Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) Polished writing, verbal communication skills through public speaking and presentations Project examples of various design milestones and submittals stages via portfolio submission Preferred Qualifications (but not required) Knowledgeable in WSDOT and CSI Specification formats Focus on community resiliency and sustainable design Focus on environmental restoration Experience with irrigation design Experience with 3D rendering software including SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Grasshopper Highlighted Benefits Enjoy hybrid and flexible work schedules, beautiful yet casual office space and free parking, an inclusive benefit package providing medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and qualifying family members, a 401(k) with immediate vested company match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that is 100% paid by Psomas!
A competitive salary!
The genuinely expected range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000/salary depending on experience.
