Summary:

Shoals Technologies, a global renewable energy organization, is hiring a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Contracts Counsel. The Commercial Contracts Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor to the manufacturing company, providing broad-based legal support across various commercial agreements, including supply chain, logistics, procurement, direct and indirect sourcing contracts, contract manufacturing, fulfillment agreements, master sales and services agreements, customer agreements, warranty and servicing arrangements, and partnership, joint development, project-based agreements, etc., both domestically and internationally. This role requires a versatile legal professional with expertise in corporate, commercial, supply chain, procurement, customer and regulatory areas of the law. The Commercial Contracts Counsel will work closely with the executive team and other departments to ensure legal compliance and support the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory: Offer legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, customers, and other third parties to ensure favorable terms and compliance with company policies.

Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including environmental, health and safety, and industry-specific standards.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and strategic initiatives.

Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including HR, finance, and operations, to provide legal support and facilitate business objectives.

Qualifications

Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Licensure: Active bar membership in good standing.

Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Knowledge: Broad understanding of corporate, commercial and regulatory law. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations is a plus.

Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
