WHO YOU ARE:

You are a hands-on IT leader to manage the Active Directory (AD), Windows, and Cloud team, while actively contributing to the delivery and support of these services. As a working manager, you will combine technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, adaptability to evolving technologies, and professional, customer-focused communication. The role emphasizes cross-training to build a strong, collaborative team environment and requires close coordination with other IT teams and business stakeholders to achieve goals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The AD/Windows/Cloud Manager (Systems Administrator VI) performs highly advanced and/or supervisory (senior-level) systems administration work for the AD/Windows/Cloud team. Work involves overseeing the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of systems, as well as managing system software installations and upgrades. Serves as a technical expert while supervising team members. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:

-Perform highly advanced, enterprise-level technical and supervisory work for the AD/Windows/Cloud team.

-Communicate job requirements to employees and evaluate their performance.

Ensure adequate staffing and coordinate schedules to maintain optimal service delivery and continuous operations within the team’s area of responsibility.

-Develop employee skills and build depth of expertise to position unit for technology changes, innovation and staff turnover.

-Monitor and control unit’s functions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

-Monitor work in process and actively participate in maintaining and providing input to departmental dashboards.

-Prepare detailed analyses and reports as assigned.

-Lead analysis, planning, design, documentation, and implementation of IT systems, applications, automated processes, and services. Leads installation, configuration, and maintenance activities.

-Lead reviews of system and application availability, performance, and capacity; response to system and application outages and performance issues.

-Conduct performance reviews of servers and applications. Documents and recommends performance enhancements.

-Oversee management of cloud services; customer requests for cloud services; monitoring of cloud services availability; lead troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of cloud service issues.

-Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and agency laws, rules, policies, and procedures including IT Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that govern TWC IT.

-May serve as backup to IT Directors or Managers.

-Maintain a reliable, predictable work schedule, and/or be called upon to work outside of normal business hours to sustain operations or complete urgent assignments.

-Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations.

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:

-Bachelor's degree related to Information Systems and four years of recent experience leading teams of 6 or more members with operational responsibility for AD/Windows/Cloud services.

-Experience developing and implementing goals for IT teams.

-Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships, effectively bridging IT and business functions.

-Skilled in analyzing problems, developing solutions, and communicating effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

-Ability to produce and present clear, concise and professional communications and presentations.

-Strong competencies in planning, project management, leadership and organization.

-Knowledge of industry trends, standards, best practices and tools.

-Knowledge of Texas Workforce Commission programs.

-Four years of experience in systems administration work.

-Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
