Job Overview

As a Territory Sales Manager for Paint Products, you will drive sales and promote Festool's exceptional range of painting products to dealers and contractors within your territory. Your role will be crucial in expanding our market share through the development of strong relationships, expert product knowledge, and tailored solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement strategic sales plans to meet sales targets and grow our footprint in the retail paint sector.

Engage with dealers and end-users to advocate for Festool’s painting-related product offerings.

Demonstrate products, conduct training sessions, and provide presentations showcasing the advantages of our paint product line.

Deliver technical support and tailored product recommendations to address specific painting needs.

Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads, address inquiries, and finalize sales opportunities.

Maintain diligent records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights through our CRM tool.

Monitor industry trends and competitor movements to uncover new opportunities and address challenges effectively.

Seek out and establish new distribution channels within the paint dealer network.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

While no specific territory sales experience is required, three years of related experience is preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to influence and persuade others effectively.

Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong passion for achieving sales goals.

Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Skilled at building and nurturing relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Active listening skills to fully comprehend customer needs.

Eager to learn and apply new concepts in practice.

Commitment to professional growth through mentorship from management and peers.

Comfortable and proficient in demonstrating power tools safely and effectively.

Strong organizational, planning, prioritizing, and goal-setting abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.

Willingness to travel 60-70% for customer engagement, trade shows, and events.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in accordance with company auto policy.

Ability to set up customer events, including loading and unloading tools from the vehicle.

Physical capability to lift up to 75lbs safely.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated success in sales, particularly in the paint industry or a related field.

Familiarity with painting products, techniques, and applications.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
