Job Description

Role: Browser Engineer

Client: Comcast

Location: Philadelphia, PA

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science/electronics or related field.

· 5+ year software development experience with Linux and embedded devices

· Software skills: C/C++ programming required.

· Experience working on web browser engines such as Webkit

· Experience developing multi-threaded and high-performance software.

· Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

· deep understanding of browser engine internals and architecture.

· Solid understanding of Webkit networking stack and protocols such as WebSocket and WebRTC

· Good exposure in development of multimedia pipelines using HTML5 media controls and GStreamer

· Familiarity with Yocto, OpenGL ES, Wayland protocol is desirable.

· Contribution to open-source browser projects such as Webkit/Chromium is added advantage (should be able to provide OSS project links/references)
