Immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer in Irvine, CA who possesses:

Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or related preferred)

5 - 10 years' experience in Avionics or Aerospace Industry

Experience with DO178A or DO178B

Experience with C++

FULL DESCRIPTION: The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for software documentation, design, development, coding, and integration for a Distributed Aperture System (DAS).

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Responsible for system integration and testing

Provide guidance and leadership to subordinates. Lead a small team of designers in generating the FPGA design solutions

Administrate and maintain analytical software tools and provide training and instruction on its use.

Assist with customer and certification regarding technical and design aspects

Generate software requirements, test procedures, code, test, and verification. Software and documentation review

Software and documentation review.

Ensure all contractual guidelines related to software development are followed. Responsible for system integration and testing

Project status reporting as required

Knowledge of hardware and software interface

IBM rational DOORS software tools experience preferred

Other duties as required

The selected candidate will also possess:

4 year accredited college degree preferred

10+ years of experience with embedded processors and programmed devices in the avionic field

Software lifecycle knowledge required

Ability to work with all levels of personnel.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Above average computer skills required

Ability to lead one or more employees performing similar work

Salary Range: $40-$60/hr
