Staff Accountant

Job Description

Our client in Atlanta, GA is hiring for the role of Staff Accountant.This is a 100% in-office opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong GAAP knowledge, experience with balance sheet reconciliations, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. This role will focus on AP, AR, treasury functions, and month-end close processes, with an emphasis on inventory accounting and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

Manage AP, AR, and treasury processes for licensee operations, including fuel inventory accounting.

Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.

Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, particularly cash, inventory, AR, and AP.

Coordinate with AR and AP teams to resolve coding and invoicing discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Finance major preferred.

Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience.

Strong understanding of US GAAP and balance sheet oversight.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; ability to work independently with a continuous improvement mindset.
