Job Title: QC Manager - Federal Project (USACE)
Project Location: Enumclaw, WA
Salary: $115K - $135K
The QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control for the project, ensuring that construction activities meet contract specifications, regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal project requirements, particularly those related to USACE projects, and a proven track record in managing quality control systems on large-scale construction projects.
Job Duties:
Develop and Implement Quality Control Programs: Oversee the creation and implementation of a comprehensive quality control plan for the project, including inspections, testing, and corrective actions to ensure all work complies with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
Coordinate Quality Assurance/Control Activities:
Coordinate and supervise inspections, testing, and other quality assurance activities throughout all phases of construction. Ensure compliance with USACE guidelines and other relevant federal, state, and local standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, non-compliance reports, and corrective actions. Prepare and submit regular QC reports to the Project Manager and USACE representatives.
Monitor Construction Activities:
Perform field inspections and reviews of construction processes, materials, and workmanship. Ensure all materials and workmanship meet required specifications and standards.
Collaborate with Project Team:
Work closely with the project management team, engineers, subcontractors, and USACE representatives to resolve any quality control issues and ensure smooth project execution.
Training and Supervision:
Provide training to construction personnel on quality control procedures and standards. Supervise and mentor junior QC staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Compliance with Federal Regulations:
Ensure all construction activities comply with federal and state regulations, as well as specific USACE requirements. Stay up to date with changes to construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Non-Compliance Management:
Identify, report, and help resolve non-compliance issues, including recommending corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future issues.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with USACE representatives, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on quality control matters and ensure client expectations are met.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working as a QC Manager
Ideally 3+ years of experience working on federal projects, specifically those involving USACE or NAVFAC
Experience managing quality control programs for large-scale construction projects (civil, infrastructure, or government-related ideally).
CQM-C certification nice to have
