Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a skilled and experienced Dataverse and D365 Engineer with proven experience developing and deploying solutions to leverage Microsoft’s Dataverse and D365 solutions to meet business needs. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, maintaining and supporting solutions for Wipfli’s Dataverse and D365 deployment (including related Sales & Service modules). This role requires a deep understanding of Dataverse and D365 as a whole, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop and deploy code to meet the needs of our stakeholders based on approved designs and requirements using a mix of no-code / low-code configurations as well as custom plug-ins, PCF controls and JavaScript

Implement Dataverse and D365 solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, high-performing and align within the firm’s ecosystem

Create data models and manage data models within Microsoft Dataverse

Customize Dataverse and D365 to meet specific business requirements, including the integration with other Microsoft Power Platform components and third-party applications

Work with the DevOps team and assist in the deployment code and solutions to higher environments and performing code reviews as required

Identify and resolve issues related to D365 applications, identifying support dependencies with other applications / solutions where appropriate, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations

Explore opportunities for alternative paths to meet business needs when obstacles occur and present alternative solutions when appropriate

Support and mentor other engineers to ensure consistent development practices and adherence to Wipfli’s software development lifecycle process

Provide training and support to end-users and team members on Dataverse and D365 functionalities and best practices

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience

A Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Business preferred

At least 7 years of proven experience of job-related technical experience, with recent experience related to Dataverse and D365 development

Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Logic Apps and other components of the Microsoft Power Platform

Proven understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs, Angular/React, .NET

Experience with CICD Automation, DevOps Practices, etc.

Experience with data integration, including Azure services, SQL databases, and other data sources

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards

Experience with Microsoft Power Pages preferred

Microsoft Dynamics Certifications preferred

Microsoft Power Platform Certifications preferred

Experience working with Scrum/Agile methodologies preferred

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $97,000 to $130,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
