CNC Machinist – Job Description Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with blueprints, precision measuring tools, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce metal or plastic parts according to specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Perform machine calibrations and tool changes as needed. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency. Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools. Maintain accurate records of production and machine performance. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. 2+ years of experience operating CNC machinery. Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools. Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming (a plus). Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Skills:

Experience with HAAS, Mazak, Fanuc, or other major CNC controls. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks). Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure is a plus.
