Job Description
The BMW Store and Cincinnati MINI currently have a full-time position open in our Parts Department. We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with people and a sincere desire to help our customer with their vehicle’s needs by providing an exceptional customer experience. The basic function of this position entails taking in-bound telephone calls and waiting on customers to find the appropriate part to fix their vehicle as well as a wide variety of other tasks to help the operation of the business run smoothly.
As the first point of contact for the customer, the job qualifications would include excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients, being able to prioritize and multi-task, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Previous work history as a Parts Advisor in a dealership setting is helpful, as well as experience with Reynolds & Reynolds.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greet and serve every client promptly courteously and professionally. Answer questions and assist them in identifying and obtaining needed parts.
Handle orders and requests for parts efficiently via phone, e-mail and over-the-counter clients. Specify and identify parts needed to meet client requirements, so that number of parts returns due to errors is low. Use parts equipment and information resources to accurately identify needed parts.
Achieve BMW center goals by generating high sales of BMW parts and accessories.
Ensure parts are charged to repair orders.
Maintain inventory on shelves and in bins by performing perpetual inventories. reporting items, reporting any discrepancies in stock levels, and returning unsold items to stock.
Requisition non-stock or special-order parts. Follow up on special ordered items and notify the client or technicians when received. Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
Upgrade knowledge of BMW products and services by training on-the-job and participating in educational and development programs.
Requirements:
Must be able to work a potential Saturday rotation
Computer knowledgeable
Friendly, outgoing personality
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent listening and communication skills
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
